Seyi, a Cohort 6 fellow is a research associate in the Demography and Population studies department at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. Her interests are dynamic and diverse and her broad focus is on youth development in sub-Saharan Africa but currently concentrating on the relationship between neighbourhood factors and educational outcomes among youth in Nigeria.
She holds a Masters and Bachelor of Arts degree in Demography and Population Studies from University of Witwatersrand, Johanensburg and a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Benson Idahosa Univeristy, Nigeria.
Seyi is passionate about development in Africa and believes that youth empowerment could be the catalyst for development in the region. Between these activities, Seyi enjoys travelling, watching soccer and sleeping.
