Area of Research: Information Dissemination Methods and Information Communication Technology Use By Health Workers in Nigerian Health Organizations as Factors Influencing Maternal And Child Health Practices
Oluwaseun Obasola has a multi-disciplinary background in Computer Science with Economics, and Library and Archival Science. She is a librarian at the Medical Library, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, where she heads both the Serials and Systems units. She is a Chartered Librarian (2012), a member of the Nigeria Library Association and American Library Association. She has worked in the IT sector for two years before crossing over to the librarianship profession. She is currently a doctoral student in Library and Information Science at the Library School, University of Ibadan, where she is studying the influence of the use of ICTs by Nigeria health workers for information dissemination on maternal and child health practices.
Her Doctoral Thesis is titled: â€œInformation Dissemination Methods and Information Communication Technology Use By Health Workers in Nigerian Health Organizations as Factors Influencing Maternal And Child Health Practicesâ€. Her research interests are health information behavior of target groups, ICT use in the provision of information, maternal and child health, use of online health information resources, library digitization and use of library. Her papers are published in both local and international journals.
