I am a Technical Specialist for the OPTIMIZE project at Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Institute (Wits RHI). I have a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical Medicine (Child Health). I started my professional career in 2008 at Wits RHI as a data manager, then through academic growth and experience, I was promoted to a Technical Specialist position in 2014. As a Technical Specialist with knowledge in health programmes, data management, and operational research, I intend to measure health programmes performance, provide statistical analyses and evidence-based recommendations and decisions through programme assessments, evaluations, and operational research. My research interests include models and experiences on a transition of care or changes in treatment care, maternal and child health within public health setting. My current project (Ph.D.) is aimed at describing the transition of care within a public health setting in Johannesburg, South Africa. In the scope of my work, I have successfully supported the implementation of the South African ART M&E system (TIER.Net) in Johannesburg region F and North West Province. In addition, I have collaborated with other researchers and produced peer-reviewed publications. As a result of these previous experiences, I am aware of the importance of frequent communication, teamwork, project coordination and research development.
