I am a lecturer and a psychiatric/ mental health nurse specialist. A researcher in mental health care, recovery, and psychosocial rehabilitation, with publications in reputable journals. A cohort 8 CARTA fellow, currently working on country-specific psychosocial rehabilitation.
I have a quest for scholarly inquiry on the scarce area of research output peculiar to my discipline and have conducted studies on preventive psychiatry, some of which are: menstrual psychosis, and violence de-escalation techniques.
I obtained my first degree in nursing from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, where I currently work as a lecturer, and my masters of mental health nursing degree at the University of KwaZulu- Natal, South Africa, where I obtained a certificate of merit in qualitative research. I also have the expertise to serve in the capacity of a mental health nurse consultancy and also a member of a non-governmental organization that works on the health of the aging population and societal health.
