Biography:

Femi is a lecturer in the Department of Community Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan and a consultant community physician to its allied teaching hospital; the University College Hospital, Ibadan. His research interests include community control of non-communicable diseases, patient safety, tobacco control and clinical epidemiology. He is involved in research and teaching at various levels and coordinates training at the University’s Ibarapa Programme. Femi is a humanist who is passionate about human joy, self actualisation and a firm believer in the possibility of egalitarian societies. He is a movie buff, loves historical and science fiction and cannot imagine the possibility of GRR Martin no finishing writing ASOIF. His personality philosophy is summed by two quotes “things are never as bad or as good as they seem” (he can’t remember who said this and thinks it’s original), and “to love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance” – Oscar Wilde.
