Area of Research: Premarital pregnancies among young women in Rwanda: A qualitative study of experiences in maternal health seeking behaviour
Celine is a demography lecturer at the University of Rwanda, department of applied statistics, school of Economics, College of Business and Economics. She is among doctoral fellows in the first cohort of CARTA. She is registered at the University of Dar-Es-Salaam in the demography and population studies discipline. Her PhD studies are still on-going.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the National University of Rwanda. She got her Master’s degree in demography and population studies from Witwatersrand University, South Africa.
Celine teaches at the University of Rwanda. Her interest is in reproductive health research and has focused on uncovering reproductive health status and dynamics among Rwanda’s youth as part of her PhD studies. She is qualified in qualitative research methods and software.
Besides her professional dreams, responsibilities, and achievements, Celine is a wife and a mother of two. She balances her professional career with her parenting responsibilities recognizing that family is the main actor in her unceasing success.
