Mrs. Nishimwe Aurore is a lecturer in the school of health sciences, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Rwanda. She holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics, a bachelor’s degree in population studies, and an advanced diploma in Anaesthesia. she is involved in various undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research supervision, and community attachments. Nishimwe delivers courses in undergraduate programs and assists in teaching in a Master’s program in health informatics. Besides, she serves as the bridging program coordinator, Research focal person, Head of the examination and appeal committee, and the vice-chairperson of e-learning, web design, and consultancy at the departmental level. In the same line, she also serves as a member of the quality assurance committee at the departmental level and is a member of several international bodies, namely; international society for telemedicine and e-health (ISfTeH), Brazilian Telemedicine and Telehealth Congress, World One Health Congress, Rwandan Association of Anesthetists, Rwanda health informatics organization(RIO), Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC) and East Africa Quality Assurance Network (EAQAN). She is currently pursuing a PhD. in public health at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Through the Cummings Foundation’s generosity at Tufts University, USA, she is also a one health fellow. She has worked with the Higher Education Consortium of Central Massachusetts (HECCMA) in the USA for her one health fellowship one-month internship. Nishimwe’s research interests include Public health, Telemedicine, and eHealth, Implementation Research, quality assurance in education, and, more specifically, public health. She has two peer-reviewed publications and several conference proceedings publications.
