Area of Research: Determinants of male involvement in sexual andreproductive health services in Kenya.
Currently, I am a lecturer in the school of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Moi University. I have over five years’ experience of teaching, tutoring, supervising, assessing and mentoring students. In addition, I am the activity lead, Africa Universities Network and the school representative for community based education and service. I also coordinate the department’s examinations, timetable and teaching programs. I also have over 10 years wealth of experiences in the administration and management of clinical and research programs both at Health facility and community level. Previously, I worked as the Human Subjects Administrator in the Institutional Research and Ethics Committee for Moi University and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital where I co-ordinated the review of standard operating procedures and related forms for protocol submission. To date, I do ethical reviews of research proposals and protocols for the committee. I have a lot interest in Global bioethics, Gender, Biomass & Health, as well as Continuing Education in Health Professions. Currently undertaking an online course in Global bioethics offered by the faculty of Bioethics of the Anahuac University, Mexico. The program is partially sponsored by the UNESCO Chair Bioethics and Human rights Rome.
