Taofeek is a Lecturer/Researcher in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He holds an M.Sc. in Sociology and Anthropology from the same university. His research interests cover issues in Urban Sociology and Family (with a keen interest in urban and family health), Political Sociology and Research Methods. He has worked collaboratively with researchers in the area of industrial sociology and urban sociology with emphasis on urban health. He is a member of the Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Association (NASA).
Taofeek is currently a PhD CARTA Fellow undertaking his doctoral studies in Sociology of Family and Urbanization at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. His PhD research is focusing on the contextual determinants of parent-child communication on sexual and reproductive health among urban slum households in Southwest, Nigeria to reflect Socio-ecological determinants of parent-child communication on sexual and reproductive health.
His career goal is to achieve excellence in social research, consultancy, and imparting insightful knowledge.
