Biography:

Esther Kikelomo Afolabi is a lecturer in the Department of Nursing Science, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. She a promising nurse scholar and teaches undergraduate courses both at the Departmental and Faculty level of the College of Health Sciences. Her background training in Nursing Science affords her a sound understanding of the subject both in theory and practice. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Science with an area of specialty in Community Health Nursing and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Prior to joining Department of Nursing Sconce, Esther worked as a nurse instructor in a mission school of nursing for a year during her National Youth Service Year, and as a volunteered clinical nurse for six months in the same Institution hospital. She joined the Medical and Health Services of the University for paid services as a clinical nurse officer in 2010. She completed her master’s programme in 2013 and transferred her services to Department of Nursing Science in early 2014 to join the academic workforce. Esther believes in promoting sexual and reproductive health of women. Hence, she plans to be involved in networking and collaborative researches that are geared towards proffering solution to prevailing sexual and reproductive health problems in our resource-constrained society.
