Folashayo Adeniji lectures in the Department of Health Policy & Management, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He engages in health systems and policy research with particular interest in studies focusing on the economics of tobacco use and control, non-communicable diseases and outcomes research in low and middle income countries. Folashayo obtained his first degree in Educational Management & Economics in the University of Ibadan where he also earned an M.Sc. in Economics (with a specialization in Health Economics). He joined the Department of Health Policy & Management in January, 2015. He is a member of many research groups both within Nigeria and across Africa. He participates in developing and delivering a range of teaching materials at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and actively contributes to curriculum review in keeping up with contemporary issues in health policy and management. He is currently the assistant postgraduate coordinator in the Department of Health Policy & Management. Outside academic activities, he loves watching soccer and plan to be a soccer coach in the future.
