Kudus is a doctoral candidate in the department of sociology, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. He holds a BA (Philosophy) and MSc (Sociology) degrees from the same university and attended certificate programs at Brown University, the United States and University of Bergen, Norway in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Prior to his selection as Fellow of the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA), Kudus held the prestigious Postgraduate School Scholarship of University of Ibadan (2014-2016) and was selected a Laureate to the Small Grant for Thesis Writing CODESRIA, Dakar, Senegal (2015). His on-going research focuses on the migration and settlement experiences of Nigerians in Guangzhou, China. Kudus is interested in international migration within and from Africa, urban livelihoods, migrant vulnerability and social policy.
