Agnes Maleyo is an Assistant Lecturer and an associate environment expert at Moi University school of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Department of Natural Resources. Prior to joining the university in 2015, she worked as a research assistant for many projects such as the environmental Social Impact Assessment project in GIBB Africa Ltd and also for a visiting Scientist from GRIPS in conjunction with ILRI in central Kenya. She holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Planning and Management from University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from Moi University, Kenya. She is passionate about improving livelihoods of local and marginalized communities through environmental planning. Agnes is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Nairobi pursuing Environmental Planning and Management, and she is being supported by the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) where she is a PhD fellow cohort 8.
