Biography

A Lecturer in the Department of Geography, Moi University. Fredrick holds a PhD in Geography from Moi University (partially funded by CARTA); an MA in Settlement Geography from Kenyatta University; and a Bachelor of Education. He has also undertaken a one year Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Venda, South Africa. Prior to Joining Moi University in 2009 , he worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at the University College of Education, Zanzibar (now AbdulRahman Al-Sumait University) from 2006 to 2009. He has done consultancies with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). His research interests include urban population, climate change and public health. His aspirations are to achieve excellence in social research, disseminate knowledge through publications in peer reviewed high impact journals, influence policy and mentor post-graduate students
