Fredrick Okaka


My name is Dr.Fredrick Okoth Okaka, I graduated with PhD in 2016 from Moi University. I am a lecturer in the Department of Geography at Moi University. Prior to joining Moi University, I worked as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at the University College of Education, Zanzibar from February 2006 to April 2009. I have taught at Moi University since April 2009. I am currently the seminar co-ordinator in the Department of Geography of Moi University. My major field of specialization is Settlement and population Geography. My current research interests include: Climate change and human health, Population studies, Urban Housing with emphasis on Gender Dynamics and Geography Education. My career vision is to achieve excellence in social research, teaching and consultancy specializing in sustainable urban development with emphasis on climate change, population health, gender and shelter issues.
