Glory Mzembe is a PhD Fellow from the University of Malawi, College of Medicine. Her PhD work is mainly focused on assessing the impact of pregnancy interventions on early childhood clinical health outcomes . Her previous Commonwealth Scholarship award enabled her to study towards a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2016/17. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the College of Medicine, University of Malawi, in 2014. Her current work with Training and Research Unit of Excellence (TRUE), College of Medicine, involves setting up and coordinating a large pregnancy cohort examining the effectiveness of iron supplementation interventions in Southern Malawi. Prior to this she worked with the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Clinical Programme as a Clinical Research Associate and Ministry of Health’s Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre, Malawi, as a Medical Officer.
