A Lecturer in the School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Moi University. Hellen has over five years’ experience of teaching, tutoring, supervising, assessing and mentoring students. In addition, she is the activity lead, Africa Universities Network and the school representative for community based education and service. She also coordinates the department’s examinations, timetable and teaching programs. Further, she has over 10 years wealth of experiences in the administration and management of clinical and research programs both at Health facility and community level. Previously, she worked as the Human Subjects Administrator in the Institutional Research and Ethics Committee for Moi University and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital where she coordinated the review of standard operating procedures and related forms for protocol submission. To date, she does ethical reviews of research proposals and protocols for the committee. She has a lot interest in global bioethics, gender, biomass and health, as well as continuing education in health professions. Currently Hellen is pursing Master of Global Bioethics (MGB) at Anahuac University, Mexico. She holds a PhD in Medicine (2015 – 2020); a Master of Public Health – Health Services Management (2008 – 2009); and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (1998 – 2001), all from Moi University.
