Hellen Jepngetich

Biography

I have over three years’ experience of teaching, tutoring, supervising, assessing and mentoring students. In addition, I coordinate the department’s examinations, timetable and teaching programs. I also have over 10 years wealth of experiences in the administration and management of clinical and research programs both at Health facility and community level. I worked as a program coordinator Haematology and Oncology program currently housed at the Academic Model Providing Access to Health care (AMPATH). During my tenure, I coordinated the standardization and operationalization of both clinical and research activities, putting up reporting templates, guidelines and standard operating procedures. Previously, I worked as the Human Subjects Administrator in the Institutional Research and Ethics Committee for Moi University and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital where I co-ordinated the review of standard operating procedures and related forms for protocol submission. Before my appointment as a full time faculty member at the School of Public Health, I taught as a part time lecturer at the Department of Management and Health policy. RELEVANT EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Currently pursing PhD at the School of Medicine Moi University, Department of Medical Education. Master of Public Health (Health Services Management), school of Public Health Moi University Eldoret, Kenya, 2008 – 2009. Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health, College of Health Sciences, Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya, 1998 – 2001.
