A Research Fellow of the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where he conducts research and teach in the area of Diaspora and Transnational Studies. Before his selection as Fellow of the CARTA, Kudus held the prestigious Postgraduate School Scholarship of University of Ibadan and was selected a Laureate to the Small Grant for Thesis Writing CODESRIA, Dakar, Senegal. In 26, he was awarded a fellowship under the ACLS African Humanities Program in support of his dissertation on the migration and settlement experiences of Nigerians in Guangzhou, China. He is interested in migration, migrant health, urban transformation and social theory. Kudus holds a PhD degree in Sociology of Development from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He participates in international academic meetings and has attended short courses in Brown University, USA, University of Bergen, Norway, Central European University, Hungary and the American University in Beirut, Lebanon.
