A Lecturer, Researcher and Registered Clinical and Public Health Nurse. Marie Claire has extensive experience of 15+ years in clinical and community nursing practice, teaching, research, leadership and management. She is proficient in developing teaching and training modules, courses, curricula and activities to expand learning and promote student individual growth. She has excellent knowledge in qualitative, quantitative and mix-methods research designs. Striving to improve people’s health and wellbeing in the community, she is passionate about providing equitable, accessible, compassionate, and respectful care to all clients. She holds a PhD in Nursing, Masters in Medical and Surgical Nursing and a Bachelor in Nursing Education. Marie Claire is a board member of Rwanda Nursing and Midwifery Council and consultant in Nursing curriculum development and review. Before joining academic world, she worked at national referral hospitals. Her research interest includes chronic and non-communicable diseases, infectious diseases, community health and wellness, immigrant studies, mental health, education, clinical practice, health policy and implementation science. She is also interested in clinical research regarding nursing area.
