Oyeyemi is a lecturer and a psychiatric/ mental health nurse specialist and a researcher in mental health care, recovery, and psychosocial rehabilitation, currently working on country-specific psychosocial rehabilitation. She has quest for scholarly enquiry on scarce areas of research output peculiar to her discipline and has conducted studies on preventive psychiatry, some of which are: menstrual psychosis, and violence de-escalation techniques. She obtained her first degree in nursing from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, where she currently works as a lecturer, and her Master’s of mental health nursing degree at the University of KwaZulu- Natal, South Africa, where she also obtained a certificate of merit in qualitative research. She also has expertise to serve in the capacity of a mental health nurse consultancy and is also a member of a non-governmental organization that works on health of ageing population and societal health. She has published in reputable journals.
