Winifrida Mponzi

A Research Scientist, Winifrida specializes in social science and community engagement research, with a strong focus on malaria prevention and control. She joined the Ifakara Health Institute in 2016 as a Product Development Officer, where she was responsible for designing and testing vector control products for mosquito control while engaging stakeholders in co-creating innovative solutions. 

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management and a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship. She has also pursued training in qualitative research and community engagement, enhancing her expertise in conducting impactful research. Winifrida has made significant contributions to community engagement initiatives in the Kilombero Valley, southeastern Tanzania, fostering collaboration between researchers and local communities in disease prevention efforts.
