Biography

Gallad is the Coordinator of the Master of Public Health (MPH) and Diploma in Epidemiology and Biostatistics programs at the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Somali National University. He previously served as the Head of Research and Training at the School of Public Health and Research. He has also worked as a Disease Surveillance Officer and a member of the Emergency Response Team at the Somali Ministry of Health and Human Services. Additionally, he is a co-founder of the Somali Public Health Association and the current Chairman of the Somali Society for Adolescent Health. 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, a Master’s degree in Public Health, and a Master’s of Science in Medical Statistics and Health Data Sciences. His research areas of interest include Disease Surveillance, Infectious Diseases, and Maternal and Child Health.
