Biography

Martha is a public health specialist and epidemiologist with vast experience in infectious disease surveillance, outbreak response, and applied research in Uganda. She is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Wildlife and Aquatic Animal Resources at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (CoVAB), Makerere University, and supports the Ministry of Health in national surveillance and operations of the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC).

Martha holds a Bachelor’s in Wildlife Health and Management, a Master of Science in Animal Health, and a Master of Public Health. Her doctoral research focuses on integrating epidemiology, GIS, research, and community-based approaches to strengthen health systems and inform equitable public health policy.
