Biography

Am a Holder of Master of Public Health and currently pursuing a PHD in Environmental health at the University of Eldoret. Providence currently works as a lecturer at the College of Health Sciences, School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health, a position I have held for the last 5 years. I also double up as the postgraduate Coordinator for Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Science in Field Epidemiology programmes (FELTP) based at Moi University Nairobi campus a position I have held for the last two years. Prior to joining the University I worked as a Public Health Officer for 9 years at Moi Teaching and Refferal Hospital. Among the duties are as a lecturer are; Teaching of undergraduate students, Supervision, examination and research. The courses that I teach include; Principles of Environmental Health, Research Methods, Occupational Health, Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit As a coordinator my roles include; maintaining the School of Public Health Nairobi campus quality assurance standards, ensuring smooth running of the academic programs paying attention to the implementation of teaching, examination and students defences. I also liaise with the Head of departments, Graduate School chair and Dean in facilitating appointment of student’s supervisors. Other administrative roles are budgeting, budget implementation and managing of partnerships
