Background
The Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) invites you to the first webinar in the series on “Leveraging AI for Academia and Research Impact”
CARTA sees the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academia and research. We aim to start this discussion by seeking ways to leverage AI to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and impact, expanding our reach within Africa’s Research and Development (R&D) ecosystem. Our main goal is to raise awareness about AI’s profound effect on academics, research, and training, emphasizing its opportunities and challenges.
The webinar series aims to achieve the following:
- Understand AI capabilities in improving training processes to enhance learning.
- Explore the potential integration of AI in the research cycle.
- Understand the capabilities of utilizing AI to enhance the translation of research findings into practical solutions from the lowest level of interventions to the policy level.
- Examine challenges and ethical issues presented by AI in this context.
The first webinar will be held on July 3, 2024, from 16:00 to 17:30 EAT and the first webinar will be held on July 17, 2024, from 16:00 to 17:30 EAT.
