Biography
Nancy is a civil and environmental health engineer and Tutorial Fellow at the University of Nairobi, where she teaches hydrology, environmental engineering, and public health engineering, contributes to curriculum development, and mentors undergraduate research projects.
Nancy holds a first-class Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Suzhou University, China. Her research focuses on the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) nexus, particularly the trade-offs between water use and greenhouse gas emissions in irrigated agricultural systems, and their implications for sustainability and public health. She also contributes to professional consultancy in water and environmental safety and champions STEM and gender inclusion initiatives, especially for women and girls from rural Kenya. Her doctoral research focuses on integrated water resources and sustainability analysis.
