Funding: Tackling bacterial and fungal antimicrobial resistance in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), through its Global Health Research (GHR) themed Program, invites researcher-led outline applications for its 2026 theme, “Tackling bacterial and fungal antimicrobial resistance in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia,” with the goal of funding a portfolio of applied health research that generates high-quality evidence on the impact of interventions to reduce the AMR burden, strengthen health systems, and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
